Schuyler County Veterans Memorial Park

The park is located at 2558 St. Rt. 228 near the intersection with Cty. Rt. 10 in Odessa, NY as shown on the MAP. It was opened in the summer of 2006. Granite memorial bricks with the names of veterans surround the monument at the garden area. A similar layout of bricks occurs at the rotating eagle monument near the entrance of the park. A memorial brick may be purchased to honor a veteran by completing a FORM and submitting it as directed.
There is a pavilion nestled in a wooded area with a seating capacity of approximately 70. Electricity is available as is a fireplace for grilling. Permission to use the picnic facility may be obtained by contacting an officer of the Odessa American Legion Post, which is located adjacent to the park. A list of Schuyler County veterans is posted on the south wall of the Visitor Center and plaques recognizing individuals, groups and businesses for their contributions are on the north wall.
